Show Notes

Marielle Franco (1979-2018) was a black, gay woman from the favela who stood up against the odds as a voice for the marginalised within her city of Rio de Janeiro. Tragically, she was assassinated, but her voice and spirit lives on as a beacon of hope in an increasingly intolerant and dictatorial Brazil.
